Nil Art
My name is Niloufar Farhadi, a visual artist from Iran, currently living in Leiden. My work focuses on painting, ceramics, glazes and pottery. I obtained my master’s degree in visual arts at Isfahan Art University in Iran, where my research focused on the conceptual worlds of Hieronymus Bosch and Mohammad Siyah Qalam. My paintings and ceramic works have been exhibited in several galleries in Iran, including Golestan Gallery in Tehran. In my works I look for the connection between tradition and innovation, between cultures and materials. I currently have several projects in progress including the jackets, quantum farm and human entanglement in which my main concern is seeking the hidden and suppressed identity of humans.
