SeaTyle Ceramics / Deniz Astam

Deniz Astam’s artistic journey starts at her young age following art education courses at the Istanbul Fine Arts Academy and continues in the Netherlands with several different art studies.

As an artist, she finds ceramic art to be the most ubiquitous and ancient art with broad fields of research. Inspired from history, her porcelain and stoneware functional pieces are finished by hand-painted traditional designs with a contemporary touch.

Her work can be visited at the studio at Haagweg4 F13 by appointment.

Also recently, she started giving workshops at Haagweg4 , sharing her knowledge over different ceramic making techniques and surface decoration with glazes.
